Excellence Magazine Issue: 12
Excellence is Urban Engineers's magazine which highlights notable architectural, engineering, and construction projects in the industry. While working with a team of copywriters and designers, I created graphics, illustrations photography, lettering, and layout design. Excellence was printed and bound in-house and distributed nationally to hundreds of clients and prospective clients.
The theme for this issue was rebuild/restore. This theme inspired my cover design of rebuilding something by hand. I represented each article in the magazine on the cover by illustrating a piece of each project stemming out of the palm to signify how Urban rebuilt each of these significant landmarks from Philadelphia’s rail park, Longwood Garden’s historical fountain, New Jersey’s bridge restoration, and Erie PA’s theater re-establishment. Each article explored the history and cultural significance of architecture and construction through iconic buildings, architectural movements, and preservation efforts, all of which I was able to represent visually.
